Neil Jones A.K.A Ras Oneilly was born in Kingston, Jamaica, at the age of 5 he relocated to Lacovia, St. Elizabeth where he completed his education. After leaving school, Neil moved to Portmore, St. Catherine and started working as a supermarket clerk, upon performing at his company’s Christmas party, one of his co-workers saw the potential in him and encouraged him to pursue a path in music. After much consideration, Neil entered his first competition under the name "Doctor Sweet" doing various cover version of famous R&B artists. Little did he know this was just the beginning of his musical journey.
As he evolved in the music industry his conscious awareness started to develop, he began to meditate on his musical environment and the direction of which he wanted his life to go. It was during this epiphany that he decided to transform" Doctor Sweet" into a more conscious worthy individual, thus assuming the name “Ras Oneilly”. Ras Oneilly, the singer/song writer, had now emerged and he was now more focused and dedicated on the peace, love and unity of his music.
Ras Oneilly is a versatile artist who has the capability of singing any genre, however, he chooses to specialize in reggae music. He has released an album, “Hello World” along with multiple singles such as, “Would You Love Me?” & “Hey Love”, which are currently having overwhelming responses.
Over the years he has associated himself and has gotten strong support from producers such as Sly & Robbie of Taxi Gang, Wee Pow of Stone Love Records, Kirk Riley from A.M.G Productions, and Derron Simmonds of VFL Records. He also has worked with Lillian Music, Fire Royal Records, Mildew Productions, Mixing Lab, and Shocking Vibes, just to name a few. Ras Oneilly has performed on several entertainment driven functions such as Sting, Beenie Man's Summer Sizzle, Ras Oneilly in Concert, Boom Box Friday’s Live Show and several Caribbean shows. Ras Oneilly has done multiple local and international radio, television, Facebook & Instagram Live interviews which have gained him a large listening audience.

Ras Oneilly has been pushing to the forefront of the musical pinnacle. His aim is to become an icon in the music industry, and he has hopes of becoming an internationally acclaimed reggae artist. Even though the music industry has become intensely competitive, he doesn't see himself as a competitor but rather as a man with a mission to accomplish. Ras Oneilly says, “Yes, it is hard work, and it takes a lot of dedication and commitment, but the world is waiting to see and hear me.” Ras Oneilly is entirely focused on being one of the greatest and with this determination in mind he intends on doing his best to accomplish whatever tasks are ahead of him to advance his music career.
When asked about the effect that the present state of his country and the world has on him, he stated "It saddens me when I see the turmoil that my fellow brothers and sisters are constantly going through. He expressed that the violent nature of the world has deeply disheartened him and his singles "Sad Faces", "Negative Elements” and "Free" were inspired by the present world affairs.
