Ryan Lynton's story begins in the heart of New York City, where armed with a degree in Business Management and Law, he initially navigated the legal landscape in prominent law firms. Destiny, however, took an unexpected turn when he found himself relocated to Colorado to work for Jones Radio Network, Media America. Seizing the opportunity, he immersed himself in the music industry, learning from luminaries that would shape his path.

A pivotal moment occurred in 2003 during a failed robbery in Brooklyn, leading Gucci Boss to relocate to New Jersey. There, he not only ruled the morning show airwaves with "Traffic Blocking," showcasing his DJ prowess but also founded the Reggae Diplomats, gracing stages in iconic New York and New Jersey nightclubs.

His journey continued to evolve as he took the helm as the lead singer of The Black Pearl HipRoc band, successfully fusing hip-hop and RocNRoll, and touring internationally. Presently steering the ship at DonLink Entertainment, Gucci Boss envisions providing opportunities for those often marginalized, rooted in his Guyanese heritage.

What sets Gucci Boss apart is not just his musical prowess but his commitment to mentorship and advocacy. Beyond the stage and hits like "Boss Ah Di Zidy," he dedicates time to mentor young boys, urging them to embrace their school communities actively and choose positive role models. This morning, I had an inspiring conversation with Gucci Boss, a talented Guyanese artist. It made me realize just how far behind Guyana is in many aspects, and the urgent need for us to work together to push our country forward. Having the best President and Vice President means little if the citizens aren’t building small businesses and driving our industries.

Gucci Boss has the potential to become Guyana's wealthiest host, musician, and entertainer. However, to realize this potential, we need more television and radio stations, record labels, and recording studios, as well as active participation from our citizens to elevate his work and our music industry.

As a proud Guyanese, I visit various markets and enjoy bus rides to historical sites. The recurring conversation I hear is about the lack of support from local media for our artists. We need to spotlight talents like Gucci Boss and inspire others to pursue music, art, and poetry. Encouraging creative expression in our children is vital for their development.

We must adopt a creative mindset towards our talents, businesses, and community. Our leaders should facilitate more educational and financial opportunities in the music, film, fashion, sports, and entertainment sectors.

These are the dialogues we share while taking our children to school. Through phone conversations, Gucci Boss advises his kids to educate, believe in, love, and trust themselves. He's more than an artist; he's a remarkable father, poised to revolutionize Guyana's music scene.

Though I’ve yet to meet Gucci Boss in person, I've witnessed his stage performances, event hosting, and interactions with people. I envision our first meeting happening in front of a massive audience in Guyana. My belief in Guyana and our industries is unwavering. That's why I strive to motivate not just artists and citizens but also our political leaders. I firmly believe that music, film, fashion, and entertainment are Guyana's true treasures. Now is the time to bolster our industry and encourage our children to freely express their creativity.
