Biography
Carlos Jerez also known as ‘’Karlo Jerez’’ grew up in a building complex surrounded by ghettos in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Being around crime and drugs almost made him go the wrong way but at the end he chose the righteous path of arts and sports.

Carlos Jerez also known as ‘’Karlo Jerez’’ grew up in a building complex surrounded by ghettos in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Being around crime and drugs almost made him go the wrong way but at the end he chose the righteous path of arts and sports. It was until he was 20 years old when he chose music over football and started studying music at university and taking singing lessons with the support of his parents who were still a bit disappointed and doubtful about his final decision of dropping out of law school and the football academy nevertheless Karlo was determined to start a new adventure. Which took him to Guyana ‘’The Land of Many Waters’’ after things got hard for him in Venezuela in 2017.LIFE
LIFE IN GUYANA
Karlo now describes Guyana as his second homeland after getting the unconditional love from a vast majority of Guyanese however nothing is perfect and he has gone through hardships and negative encounters with a few haters but he is still positive and continues making a life in Guyana with his family.
Apart from his music career, life circumstances in Guyana have forced him to diversify his income streams and he is now a digital content creator, radio host, video shows host and is also venturing in the podcast business.
THE MOVIE
‘’I feel like I am living a movie series. There are some horror scenes and some happy scenes however that is life and I am in control of the script. I will always make sure that I am doing something positive for my family and community. My goal is to continue playing an important role in the entertainment industry of Guyana so us artists can increase the chances of contributing to the economy and live a decent life.

Key projects of my plan are ’Esencia Latina’’ a program aired on Kaieteur Radio where we interview artists and as a result provide them with a platform where they can expose themselves to social media and radio users and ‘’Jerez Podcast’’ a program where artists can have uncensored conversations with me and podcast lovers will have access to the content’’.
